Coco Caprylate/Caprate is an esterified oil, primarily derived from coconut vegetable oil but some from palm oil. It is a oil derived from pure vegetable oils, which have undergone two successive transformations: the first is to dissociate the fatty acids and the second is to recombine the resulting molecules (fatty acids) either with glycerin or with fatty alcohols or even polyalcohols. The esterification results in the formation of anesterified oil with a composition and properties different from the original vegetable oil.
